It’s been a while since I found a book that was hard to put down. Although given the grim context of the book I can’t say that I liked the book, but it’s been a while since I’ve read such a well written book.
I will try my best to give full justice to this review given my limited writing skills as evident from earlier posts and as such this may take some time.
Although the book is non fiction you wished it wasn’t. The book is a mixture of biography and non fiction detailing the corruption in Russia. The book leaves you reeling in shock seeing people stooping to inhumane practice just to get their hands on some money and lives hold little to no value if they stand in their way.
It just makes you think about somethings.
The book is definitely well written and captured my attention in full when I was reading it. Definitely a good start for this year’s reading target.
After finishing this one I got hold on his second book as well and read the first chapter. I usually find second books disappointing but the first chapter seem to perked up my interest and if nothing else brothers me i am hoping to finish it over the weekend and hope it’s as good as this one
